Napa’s Food City Market Now Carrying Block Ice
Napa’s Historic Food City building was built in 1942 as Napa’s first “drive-in” shopping center. The landmark has undergone a revamp and exterior restoration, returning to its Art Deco and Art Moderne-style roots with new life as a food hall and market.
Food City’s Instagrammable vibe and in-demand eateries, such as La Hacienda Taqueria Bar and Grill, Rutherford Family Pizza, and Naysayer Coffee, are attracting locals and tourists alike.
The Food City Market debuted in August 2023, adding a small specialty grocery market to the food-centric shopping center. Food City Market stocks a mix of grocery and household items, prepared foods, and local specialty items. Owner Jimmy Magnat called it “Whole Foods, but smaller.”
Among the specialty, local items stocked at Food City Market is our artisan-crafted, hand-cut Block Ice, perfect for elevating at-home cocktails.
