Tack Room Signature Cocktails
High Times at Churchill Downs
Named after the iconic stadium that hosts the Kentucky Derby, this drink is nothing but class. Melding flavors Buffalo Trace Bourbon (from Kentucky, of course), Wild Blueberry, Cinnamon, Lemon, Fernet Branca, and Soda Water, this cocktail is sweet, sour, and spicy—everything you need for a perfect night out.
Fun fact: The Kentucky Derby is the longest continually running sporting event in American history and is known as the most exciting 2 minutes in sports. Once the High Times hits your lips, it’ll last as long as the race.
Genuine Risk
If you like to play on the wild side, good luck setting this drink down. With a simple but flavorful combination of Gin, Laird’s Apple Brandy, Peach, Mint, and Lemon, you’ll be back at the bar ordering another before you know it…maybe that’s where it got its name. Regardless, this drink is a piny, sweet, southern treat.
Fun fact: Mint Juleps (what this cocktail is a twist of) is THE drink of the Kentucky Derby and is promoted by Churchill Downs every race. In 2009, over 120,000 Mint Juleps were served at the Derby in just two days!
…And They Call Her Regret
You’re walking in a field with citrus trees and flowers as far as the eye can see…actually, you’re in the Tack Room with this cocktail in hand, but who can tell the difference? This cocktail melds the flavors of Ketel One Vodka, Strawberry, Butterfly Pea and Verbena Flowers, Orange, and Lemon into one beautiful piece of art.
Fun fact: Blue pea flowers leave a blue hue in drinks they’re added to, but with a fun little spritz of lemon, it will transition its color from blue, basic pH, into a purple-then-pink highly acidic pH.

Improved Whiskey Cocktail, 1862
As the oldest drink on their list, you won’t get anything more classic than this. With your choice of Buffalo Trace Bourbon or Pinhook Rye, Maraschino liqueur, Absinthe, and Bitters, you can transport yourself to the days of gold miners and their love for whiskey, which continues into today.
Fun fact: In this era, when people would get drunk, they would be referred to as Bacchanalian, an old term originating from the Roman term for a festival honoring Bacchus, the God of Wine.
Millionaire No.1, 1930
If you want to feel like a million bucks, this rich cocktail made up of Smith & Cross Rum, Plymouth Sloe Gin (similar to plum), Apricot Brandy, Grenadine, and Lime is made for those who want to feel like the 1% for a night.
Fun fact: This drink was originally crafted in the 1800s but didn’t gain popularity until it was first published in The Savoy Cocktail Book by Harry Craddock in the 1930s.
Saturn, 1967
This drink will take you to the stars. Containing Gin, Falernum, Passion Fruit, Orgeat, and Lemon, this drink pays homage to the first rocket sent to the moon. If you want to head out on your own Space Oddity, this cocktail will rocket you out of this world.
Fun fact: There are only 3 Saturn V rockets in the world. The rocket at NASA Johnson Space Center is the only one comprised of all flight-certified hardware.
